First Protect is built on the principle that protecting yourself is fundamentally about decision-making.
Long before anything becomes physical, there is a timeline of events, small choices, behaviours,
positioning, awareness, and communication, that shape the outcome.
Beyond physical self-defence, our fun, action packed program focuses on prevention,
situational awareness techniques, communication skills and de-escalation strategies
to manage challenging situations before they escalate. But if they do become physical, we teach
simple to learn and practical self-defence techniques to help kids get home safe.

First Protect works the same way.
We’re not turning students into martial arts experts. Instead, we teach risk awareness, smart decision-making and simple, practical self-defence techniques so students can recognise danger early, trust their instincts and reduce risk when faced with a potentially harmful situation.
